Billionaire Ken Griffin completed his sell-off of the top floors at No. 9 Walton yesterday, selling two penthouse floors for a combined $15.9 million. The unfinished 35th floor went for $7.4 million, and the 36th floor, also unfinished, went for $8.5 million. The photo at the top of this story shows part of the 36th-floor unit. The prices are the fourth and fifth highest anyone has paid for a Chicago-area home so far in 2025.

This nicely rehabbed Astor Street mansion I showed you in Jan sold today for over asking. January: sellers planned to list this spring at $3,375,000. It never listed because buyers contacted the agent, and today bought it for $3,525,000. My Jan story: https://t.co/9SGXcboiSF

Price cut of half a million dollars today on this David Adler design in Lake Forest. A Tommy Hilfiger exec did a big rehab in 2014, listed it August 2023 for < $7 m. Lates price cut takes it to just below $5 m. My Aug 2023 story: https://t.co/VnAAcWevle

Broadcast news legend Walter Jacobson landed a buyer for his Astor Street co-op quickly. Ten days from list to contract (including 1 price cut). https://t.co/zDtmAbP1gS
