A once peaceful neighborhood in Harlingen turned into a crime scene where investigators spent countless hours solving two murder cases. Anthony Eliff III was found guilty of fatally shooting his roommate inside a car with a single gunshot to the chest on Feb. 6, 2020. Guillermo Garcia’s death marked the first murder case of 2020 for the City of Harlingen.

Without an explanation, there was a failed attempt to terminate Jesus H. Chavez. CBS4’s Derick Garcia was at the meeting Tuesday night and reported that many teachers from the district stood up for Chavez.

DK’s Dec. 2 inspection reports have a lot of problems. The bar had a score of 84 and the kitchen a 67.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — In this week’s Food 4 Thought, we are honoring a handshake deal to DK’s Stix and Stuff at 1655 Ruben Torres Blvd in Brownsville. They let us see the kitchen after its December health inspection report found dozens of violations. Its Dec. 2 inspection reports have a lot of problems and a low score of 67 for its kitchen inspection. It passed a city reinspection but the manager and owner admitted doing “bad” when we found plenty of violations.
