A once peaceful neighborhood in Harlingen turned into a crime scene where investigators spent countless hours solving two murder cases. Anthony Eliff III was found guilty of fatally shooting his roommate inside a car with a single gunshot to the chest on Feb. 6, 2020. Guillermo Garcia’s death marked the first murder case of 2020 for the City of Harlingen.

Without an explanation, there was a failed attempt to terminate Jesus H. Chavez.
