The loss for the Bulldogs came after beating the River Hawks 14-10 in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader, to winthe series. With the loss, Bryant drops to (18-16-1) overall on the year and (7-5) in America East play. The Bulldogs will play at Sacred Heart on Wednesday.

P-Bruins Vinni Lettieri picked up a goal and an assist, while Matthew Poitras and John Farinacci also each netted a goal. Goaltender Michael DiPietro stopped 33 of 35 shots in the win.

PROVIDENCE, RI ( WPRI) - The Providence Bruins blew a 2-0 in the 2nd period and had to go to overtime to defeat the Belleville Senators. Jeffrey Viel would break the tie early in the 3rd and give the Providence Bruins a 3-2 lead. But just 1:02 later, Wyatt Bongiovanni's wrist shot would tie the game at 3-3. This game would go into overtime. In overtime, DansLocmelis, with 14 seconds remaining, fired a wrist shot for the 4-3 win. Goaltender Michael DiPietro stopped 18 of 21 shots.

SOMERSET, Mass. (WPRI) - When branch manager Randy Lima heard that the coin machine at the Rockland Trust Bank in Somerset wasn't working properly late last month, he assumed it was clogged and needed to be cleaned out. "We usually find a lot of junk in there - stuff that can jam up the machine," Lima explained. Lima never expected to open the machine up and find a wedding band stuck inside the mechanism. "We found a 24 Karat gold ring with a date inscribed on it," Lima explained.

Bryant finds a new coach

By Derwin Worrell PROVIDENCE, RI ( WPRI) - Bryant University has hired Jamion Christian as its 10th head basketball coach. Christian brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience and two years of coaching at the professional level in Italy to Bryant. Christian will take over a Bryant program that's coming off a D1 program-record 23 victories, America East Regular Season and Tournament titles, and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
