By Dáire BonnarDONEGAL forward Michael Murphy admitted on Saturday that picking up a sixth Ulster title is something he never thought would happen. The Glenswilly man was named Man of the Match in the Ulster final as Donegal beat Armagh by 2-23 to 0-28 after extra-time in St Tiernach’s Park, Clones. Murphy’s last championship game before this season was in June 2022 as Armagh disposed of Donegal with ease at the same venue.

DONEGAL star Ciaran Moore said he was fortunate to be in the right spot to score the crucial second goal for Donegal on Saturday. Moore was replaced in normal time but when the match went to extra-time, he was called upon again and his running power really came to the fore. He got stuck into the contest once more and came up with a huge contribution when he fired the ball to the net in the 83rd minute after receiving a pass from Michael Langan. “It was unreal,” Moore said.

For anyone not familiar, Bosch is the tenacious type who’s known for breaking a few rules if it means taking a stand for what’s right and just. I was reminded of the sentiment last weekend, but it was after a camogie match rather than reading crime fiction.
