LAGRANGE, Ga. — A woman is facing charges after LaGrange Police said she allegedly threw a pot of hot chicken grease on her boyfriend during an argument. The 43-year-old woman was taken into custody Tuesday. According to police, officers responded to the Stay Lodge on Whitesville Road around 5:15 p.m. for a domestic dispute. Police said the woman threw the pot of grease on her 46-year-old boyfriend as he sat in a nearby chair.

CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating after an inmate died at the Athens-Clarke County Jail. The Clarke County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death, saying the 32-year-old man died Monday. Deputies said jail staff was made aware around 4:30 p.m. about an inmate with an "unknown medical issue" in one of the housing units.

According to DeKalb Police, investigators believe DeLisa Williams left Monday, May 5, with her 9-year-old grandson, Amajh, and her 2-year-old granddaughter, Aliyah. They were last seen leaving the 500 block of Rosemont Drive in Decatur.

Deputies are asking for anyone who sees the 12-year-old to contact law enforcement. PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies in Paulding County are searching for a missing 12-year-old boy. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office said Josean Smith was last seen Sunday afternoon around 2:30 in the Harmony Creek Lane area. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black shorts and red Jordans. Smith weighs about 80 pounds and is about 4 feet 11 inches tall. The sheriff's office said he also has a scar on his chin.
