LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville pilot is currently missing somewhere near the Bahamas. Chris Moore, a longtime pilot, took off from Florida on Sunday. He was flying by himself on a path he's taken many times. He took off from the Sebastian Municipal Airport at 9 a.m. for a three hour flight to Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas. He's not been heard from since. His wife, Stacye, is in the Bahamas leading the search for her husband.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville-based sculptor Ed Hamilton has used remarkable talents to make the city, and others, stand out. He is celebrating more than a half-century in business, creating statues that last more than a lifetime. And on Valentine’s Day, he’s turning 77 years old. Hamilton's studio is always full of music and is a treasure itself. He’s known around the Metro for sculpting the Abraham Lincoln sculpture down at Waterfront Park, and York of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Abraham Lincoln is getting his top hat back. Sculptor Tamina Karem, of the Ed Hamilton Studio in Phoenix Hill, is recreating the iconic bronze hat that was ripped from the Waterfront Park statue back in early December 2023. Right now, the prototype replacement is made of clay, but soon it will become a heavy bronze replica of the one that was torn from the bolts.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The brown, dry grass does not rob the beauty of the Parklands of Floyds Fork, even in winter. There are native grasses and wildflowers here and the brilliant sun highlights the wilderness. The eastern Jefferson County lands have more than 200 bird species identified. LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jock Sutherland was both loved and despised by listeners of WHAS Radio. They followed him loyally as he provided the color analysis through the 1980s of Louisville Cardinals basketball alongside the famed Van Vance. Sutherland passed away Sunday night at the age of 95. Ironically, he was a Lexington native and a University of Kentucky graduate who spent most of his life as a UK fan and a Hall of Fame Kentucky high school basketball coach.
