PENFIELD — State police in DuBois have released details of a head-on accident which claimed the lives of three area residents at 9:22 p.m. on Memorial Day at 7092 Bennetts Valley Highway, Huston Township, Clearfield County. According to police, Cayden M. Wiseman, 20, DuBois, the driver of a 2023 Acura Integra, and Jacob T. Belinda, 30, Port Matilda, the driver of a 2022 GM Corp Sierra, were traveling southbound on Bennetts Valley Highway.

DuBOIS — City of DuBois residents Deb Mechling and Duane Patrick Reasinger, as a result of the May 20 primary election, have both met the 100-vote write-in threshold on the Democratic ballot to appear on the November ballot for DuBois City Council, along with nine other candidates — seven Republican, two Democrat — previously shown to have won the primary, according to information released by the Clearfield County Election Board and Clearfield County Commissioners on Wednesday.
