DuBOIS — The City of DuBois/Sandy Township Joint Consolidation Board, at last week’s meeting, approved two bids in preparation for code consolidation and zoning map services. City/township interim Co-Manager Ben Kafferlin said that the management team is working to merge the ordinance codes of the two communities ahead of the 2027 deadline, aiming for completion by January 2026 when consolidation takes effect.

DuBOIS — Both the DuBois City Council and the Sandy Township Supervisors have each approved a cooperation agreement with the Redevelopment Authority of the City of DuBois (RDA) to provide professional services and assistance to the municipalities for the purpose of seeking out, applying for and administering financial funding opportunities for the betterment of the city. This would include, but not limited to, grants and loans from state and federal agencies and programs.

Weber Ave., DuBois, is looking forward to its grand reopening at its new home on Easter Sunday. “We want to reach those in the community who do not have a church or who are looking for a church.
