KNOX -- Knox Borough Council remains committed to the next phase of water line replacement work in the town, but opted May 5 to delay applying for PennVEST funding for the next round of work until August. Marty English of The EADS Group, borough engineers, said he met with PennVEST officials last month and learned PennVEST anticipates a high number of funding requests seeking a large amount of funding from the first round of the state-backed investment authority’s coffers.

KNOX“Engaging educational experiences” for everyone abound this month in Clarion County and especially the Knox area as “Remake Learning Days” continues through May 23. According to its website, “Remake Learning Days” began in 2016 as a “celebration of learning.” Remake Learning days events are hosted by a variety of organizations, such as schools, museums, libraries, after-school organizations, early childcare centers, parks, universities, media centers, tech startups and more.

KNOX -- Facing a potential cost of $100,000 for required repairs and calibration of its parking meters, Knox Borough Council April 7 began the process of removing the meters from the borough. The process won’t be as easy as just bringing in “Cool Hand” Lucas Jackson to simply cut the meters off the posts. Discussion of the process and new parking regulations took up the majority of the council meeting. Knox has 89 metered parking spaces along Main and adjoining side streets.
