(WEAU) - Altoona woman claims to be a victim in a theft by deception caseMore than 300 people across 25 states and even Australia, gave irreplaceable mementos to a woman in Georgia and never got them back and one woman in Altoona claims to be a victim. Kearston Thibedeau said that she bought a custom ring made of her breastmilk from a business called Romeo and Juliette Keepsakes. The owner of the business was arrested. Police are recommending charges of theft by deception.

    Town of Clayton, Wis. (WEAU) - One person is dead in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Clayton. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. of a motorcycle crash on Highway D, west of State Highway 63 in the Town of Clayton. An eastbound motorcycle went off the roadway after attempting to turn on a curve on County Highway D. The operator of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet and sustained fatal injuries.

    PEPIN, Wis. (WEAU) - It’s been 50 years since the Ingalls family hitched their wagon and began their journey to the West in the beloved television show “Little House on the Prairie. Now the cast has reunited to celebrate in Pepin, the birthplace of Laura Ingalls Wilder who created the story. Original cast members spent the weekend at Villa Bellezza Winery & Vineyards including Charlotte Stewart who played Miss Beadle and Dean Butler who played Almanzo Wilder.
