GENEVA, IL — A new coffee spot opened in Geneva just in time for the start of summer. Viva Cafe took over the space at 416 W. State St. The pop-up is a collaboration between Five and Hoek Coffee, Bien Trucha and Rancilio Group North America. As well as the classics, Viva Cafe will serve coffee confections featuring tonic water, creamsicle, key lime pie, horchata and coconut cookies. The cafe will also offer freshly baked pastries and offerings from the Bien Trucha food truck.

AURORA, IL — Paramount Theatre is bringing to life four stories, including two classics, for its 2025-26 season, for which tickets went on sale Monday. "As we enter our 14th season, we invite you to join the adventure, to fall in love once more with the music, stories and unforgettable moments found only through Broadway at Paramount," the theater wrote in an email.

To accommodate the event, parking restrictions will be implemented, and two downtown streets will be closed throughout the festival. The five-day Swedish Days festival originally began as an event to promote and build business in Geneva in a post-World War II economy.

GENEVA, IL — All sidewalk and curb repairs along Lewis Road between Peck and Miller roads, including cul-de-sacs, are schedueld to be completed by June 20, city officials said. The asphalt pavement will be milled in late June in the Lewis Road area once the concrete work is completed. A schedule will be announced soon, officials said in a Geneva Street Program update Friday. Crews began removing sections of sidewalk and curbs Friday on Northhampton Drive from Kaneville Road to Williamsburg Avenue.
