Gardaí are investigating a major fire at the site of the Good Shepherd Laundry in Sundays Well last night. Emergency services rushed to the site of the historic convent property shortly before midnight after reports of a widespread fire. Flames and smoke could be seen from across the city as it blazed on late into the night. Gardaí have launched an arson probe and say it was an "incident of criminal damage" which has substantially damaged the building.

Cork's favourite wildlife park has welcomed an adorable new litter of ring-tailed lemur pups - and they're giving fab prizes to whoever picks the best names. These adorable new additions are classed as endangered and face a very high risk of extinction in the wild, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The five pups were born over a two-day period from three adult females named DC, Brida and Aqua.
