SIOUX CENTER—The Sioux Center High School student council is ready to bounce over to Sioux Center yards to spread some Easter happiness. As sophomore Amelia Lappenga explained, the Sioux Center High School student council will set up Easter egg hunts, which will generate funds for a variety of school events put on by the student council. “Having more funds for our student council will help the events we put on to be better for the students,” Lappenga said.

SIOUX CENTER—The Sioux Center City Council covered a lot of ground in not one but two meetings Monday, April 7, taking care of matters ranging from another look at the property tax levy for the 2025-26 fiscal year to hearing how the last year has gone for the Terrace View Event Center. Before the regular city council meeting, the public hearing for the 2025-26 levy rate was held.

SIOUX CENTER—Sioux Center High School welcomes families and children to attend its upcoming production of “Cinderella,” a magical rendition of the classic fairy tale. This year’s high school play will be scheduled for three performances on two days: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13. Tickets cost $10 per seat, regardless of age, at the door or by calling the high school office at 712-722-2981.
