VHS Skateshop moved at the end of March from its former home at the corner of South Pugh Street and Calder Way to 244 E. Calder Way in downtown State College. The store, which originally opened as IQ Skateshop in 2021 at 118 S. Pugh St., now sits between Way Fruit Farm Downtown Market & Cafe and the recently opened clothing and gift shop Town Pride.

West Shore Home is one of the largest home remodeling companies in the nation. Earlier this month, the Board of Trustees granted the naming of “West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium” for a 15-year contract to honor a $50 million gift. Partnering with Penn State in the past and being an alumnus himself, West Shore Home’s chief executive officer B.J. Werzyn created the company just six years after graduating.

Penn State alumni and historian Lou Prato died at 87 on Tuesday, Penn State Athletics confirmed on Thursday. Prato was a university historian, author, journalist, and an avid Penn State fan. He served as the founding director of the All-Sports Museum and taught communications courses at Penn State for some time. Members of Penn State Athletics remember Prato for his dedication and passion for Penn State Athletics.
