Two people were arrested after an incident in North Walsham (Image: Newsquest) Two people were arrested after a large police presence was spotted in a town centre. Officers were called to North Walsham at around 5pm on Thursday after receiving reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted. A man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He remains there this afternoon.

The first tri-annual Tamil pilgrimage of 2025 will take place in Walsingham on Sunday. Routes to the pilgrimage will be clearly marked and roads into Walsingham along the A1065 and A148 towards Fakenham and the B1105 towards Wells are likely to be congested.

Vaughan Parker owns Jewellery Unique, which has sat near the Pit Lane car park in Swaffham since 1980. The car park is the home of the town's market and around 25 regular stallholders gather there for the event every Saturday.
