WADENA — The Wadena-Deer Creek School Board unanimously cut the district's budget but not as much as last year. “Where we're sitting right now is that our preliminary budget for next year, the general fund is at a surplus of $34,714, and that does not include any settlements for contracts for our labor unions,” Superintendent Lee Westrum told the board at its April 22 meeting.
