In a mad dash, children scooped up 17,000 candy-filled eggs from Muskie Park on Saturday, April 19. It was the 21st annual Easter event, hosted by the Nevis Lions Club. “We filled roughly 17,000 eggs with candy and prize chips,” said Lions event coordinator Barb Deery. Menahga City Councilor Durwin Tomperi expressed alarm at the potential expense of a city-owned nursing facility project.
