Eagan Hastings threw a one-hitter and struck out 13 as No. 1-seeded Hawley capitalized on three errors to eliminate No. 3 Menahga from the Section 8AA tournament with a 4-0 win on Tuesday, May 27. Two errors led to two unearned runs in the first inning while a single by Mallory Halverson and an RBI double by Hannah Stotts made it 3-0 in the second.

DETROIT LAKES – Natalie Martin shared medalist honors as the Park Rapids girls golf team placed third at the Lakeview Invitational on the Lakeview Golf Course at Detroit Country Club on Tuesday, May 27. Martin followed a 37 on the par-31 front side with birdies on No. 12 and No. 16 and seven pars for a 31 on the par-33 back side for a 4-over par 68 on the par-64 course. Macie Maninga’s 87, Elle Tostenson’s 101 and Emma Berghuis’ 105 gave the Panthers a 361 in this three-team meet.
