For the first time, the entire SEC took part in a nonconference women’s basketball challenge against the ACC, coinciding with the men’s ACC-SEC Challenge also happening this week. The result was a tie, with both conferences winning seven of the 14 games. Nearly three weeks into college basketball, Jerry Stackhouse’s squad (3-1) and Shea Ralph’s squad (5-0) will travel to Las Vegas to play in Thanksgiving tournaments this week. The men’s team will compete in the Las Vegas Showdown with a first-round matchup against N.C. State. Depending on the result of the game, Vanderbilt will either play BYU or Arizona State.
