Robert Sherman McCathern, a longtime Flint pastor and community advocate, was inducted this month into the 39th Martin Luther King Jr. College of Ministers and Laity at Morehouse College in Atlanta. The opening marks the brand’s 24th location in Michigan and first in Genesee County. Located at 11355 S. SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, MI - Owosso is preparing for major investments in its water and sewer infrastructure. Along with the work, rate increases are scheduled over the next five years to fund $208 million in critical upgrades. The city says the work is long overdue. The average age of Owosso’s water mains is 80 years, and the sewer system includes 14 pumping stations, some of which date back nearly a century. Much of the infrastructure is nearing or past the end of its useful life.
