Kike Hernández is celebrating his second World Series win with Los Angeles Dodgers by serving fans at Raising Cane’s in Alhambra Monday morning. Sky5 was over a massive crowd holding pictures and signs gathered around a stage set up outside the restaurant in anticipation of Kike’s arrival. KTLA”s Ginger Chan was there too, talking to Cynthia from Bellflower who was the first person in line after arriving at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Cynthia said it’s Kike’s attitude that draws her to him the most.

A big rig loaded with french fries crashed on the 5 Freeway in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles leaving all southbound lanes blocked by boxes of fries Thursday morning. The crash was reported around 3:30 a.m. near Stadium Way. Video showed the cab of the truck had somehow disconnected from the trailer. Piles of french fry boxes were left all over the freeway prompting officials to issue a sigalert stopping all southbound traffic while crews worked to clear the mess.

Get set for a hot Tuesday around Southern California but forecasters are calling for a cooling trend to arrive later this week. “Today will be the hottest day of the week,” KTLA’s Ginger Chan said as much of the region braces for triple-digit temperatures. Daytime highs between 100 and 105 are expected across parts of the western San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley, according to the National Weather Service .
