FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Colin Swoyer found the net with just 24 seconds remaining in regulation as the Walleye edged the Komets 2-1 in game five of the Central Division Finals on Thursday night at the Coliseum. The Walleye now have a three games to two advantage in the series. That series returns to Toledo for game six on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. Game seven, if necessary, would also be at the Huntington Center. That game would be Monday, May 12 with a 7:15 p.m. start time.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Blackhawk Christian High School basketball standout Kellen Pickett is bound for Wright State, as the senior signed with the Raiders on Thursday afternoon. The 6-foot-9 Pickett is an Indiana All-Star after averaging 19.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game as a senior. He scored 1,560 points in his prep career (second only to Caleb Furst in BCHS history) with 935 rebounds and 246 blocks.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Toledo’s Tyler Spezia banged home his own rebound just 26 seconds into double overtime as the Walleye bested the Komets 3-2 in game four of the Central Division Finals to even the series at two games apiece. For the first time in this series it was Toledo scoring first, with Colin Swoyer burying a shot 13:34 into the first frame to give Toledo a 1-0 lead. After a scoreless second period Toledo increased its lead to 2-0 8:47 into the third period with Colby Ambrosio goal.
