It has been recognized as one of Indiana’s top festivals, taking place in a community that has been ranked in the top five great places to live in Indiana. A highlight of this year’s festival is the display of items recovered from a recently unearthed time capsule, which was placed in the ground 50 years ago during the city’s centennial celebration.

I began coming to ‘help’ when I was big enough to walk into the store. In my younger years, I earned a bottle of pop. I was running the cash register when I was 9 years old, the old hand crank style, and I learned to figure change, for the machine did not do it for me.

They will be competing in a scholarship pageant, which will culminate beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Kountry Cabinets Entertainment Tent in Depot Plaza. Listed in alphabetical order, the contestants are:• Kayli Anglemyer, Miss G&L Milford Self Storage, is a sophomore at Bethel University. She is the daughter of Aaron Anglemyer and Sam and Cherie Ran.

The town agreed to sign a letter to the Indiana Department of Transportation regarding the proposed construction of a sidewalk through town.
