    FAYETTE COUNTY, AL. (WCBI) – We have updates on a story we first brought you back in December. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the discovery of human remains believed to be those of 1-year-old Kahleb Collins. You’ll remember Kahleb was reported missing after a fatal car crash on December 8, 2024. The crash claimed the life of the two-year-old sister, Ryleigh, who was unrestrained. The father, Brad Collins, later died of injuries.

    STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Starkville Fire Department had a busy afternoon after the storms rolled through. City Fire Marshal Mark McCurdy said most of the damage was in the northeast half of the city. This includes areas north of Highway 182, Edgewood Drive, and Copperfield Court. McCurdy said it took around three hours to clean up and clear debris. This was a joint effort with other city departments, including the street and police departments.

    OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A severe thunderstorm in Oktibbeha County caused heavy damage to various areas. The emergency management agency director for Oktibbeha County, Kristen Campanella, said Oktibbeha 911 took 67 incident reports and 231 phone calls over four hours. Five homes were damaged, a 6-unit apartment building was destroyed, two fires were reported, 28 trees were reported fallen, and there were 11 reported traffic accidents.
