MADISON (WKOW) - The city of Madison is heading into the 2025 budget with a $27 million dollar deficit and the city's finance committee met Monday to approve key dates for budget development. Because the city is dealing with such a gap, meetings about the budget started much earlier this year. Budget talks usually start in late summer or early fall.
