(WBTW) — Tuesday marks 60 days since flames and smoke filled the skies of Carolina Forest in what was the beginning of the Covington Drive wildfire, which is now 90% contained. “I’m tired of it. I just want to be able to walk outside and smell fresh air, not the smoke,” Mackenzie Mantone, a Carolina Forest resident, said. “I’m just ready for it to be over.” Last month, News13 spoke to Mantone, who said she felt as though they were on their own little island.

(WBTW) - As News13 obtained new photos showing the chaotic scene of Saturday night's deadly officer-involved shooting on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, a police spokesman said three officers had been placed on paid administrative leave, the department's standard protocol after such an incident. Eighteen-year-old Jerrius Davis of Bennettsville died in the shooting that also left 11 other people with injuries.
