WOONSOCKET, S.D. (KELO) — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket made a run to the Class ‘B’ state title game this season for just the third time in history. The Blackhawks were anchored by junior Liz Boschee, who is a finalist for player of the Year. Boschee first ventured into the game of basketball as way to team up with and play alongside her older sister. “I only had a couple of years with my sister, so I wanted to just make the most of it,” Boschee said.

YANKTON, S.D. (KELO) — No. 5 Yankton claimed a 4-2 win over reigning state champion Lincoln Tuesday night in the KELOLAND Sports Game of the Week. The Patriots scored one run in each of the first two innings to build a 2-0 lead. The Bucks got on the board in the third with one to cut the gap in half. Gavin Johnson delivered a two-run double in the fourth to give Yankton a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning. The hosts added an insurance run in the fifth.
