A new campaign (Cash handouts don’t help, but you can) is using signs and social media to let people know about the different ways to help people in need. St. Francis House is one local nonprofit that provides transitional housing. CEO Julie Becker has witnessed firsthand why giving cash out doesn’t help in the long run.
