County Administrator Jeff Massey introduced Vannatter with enthusiasm, stating, “We are very excited about Charles and what he has to offer.” Massey explained that, thanks to Vannatter, the county now has an emergency building plan in place where there was none before.

CRA approves four grants

One of the approved grants will fund exterior renovations for the historic home at 781 Main St. This property, which has housed multiple businesses over the years, is now on track to become an Airbnb and Tea Room.
Search warrant issued by WCSO

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), a search warrant was issued and executed by the WCSO SWAT and Drug Task Force on March 21st at approximately 8:15 p.m. The target of the investigation was 44-year-old Jaquelyn Amanda Adams who was not present at the time of the search. WCSO Investigators have been in contact with Adams over the phone and requesting a meeting.

Details are still unraveling in a child sex abuse case from earlier this month. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), an investigation began once a report was filed alleging that 39 year old Michael Raymond Harper had coerced two children under the age of 15 into inappropriate sexual conduct and 32 year old Toni Renai Harper who had knowledge of the misconduct and did not report to authorities.

WCSO issued these devices aiming for them to be another resource for the community and allowing for a quicker response during a time of crisis.
