HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - This weekend starts off hot, but not excessively so. We will be into the low 90s through the day for Saturday with sunny conditions expected. An excessive heat warning is in place for several counties across the region that will last several days. There will be really no relief in sight as we will be seeing heat index, or ‘feels like’ temperatures into the low 100s. This can get dangerous very quickly for a lot of people who are sensitive to heat.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - This morning patchy fog is expected through around 8 am, no rain is really expected to roll back in until the afternoon hours for our Saturday. Temperatures will be in the low 80s and it will be muggy through the day. It’s impossible to say who will get rain showers and storms or when they will get them, so just have your rain gear in the car with you as you head out the door.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - During the overnight and early morning hours we started our Saturday with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. However, the rain will move out by the late morning hours giving us plenty of dry time for the outdoor events across the region for this afternoon. After sunset, we have another bulk of rain coming through that could cause some isolated flooding issues.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Tuesday we will still see the haze in the sky and sunshine will remain over the region as well. Temperatures are much hotter for the afternoon hours, the lowlands will be in the upper 80s and the mountains will be in the low 80s. Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week into the low 90s for some across the region with more sunshine on the way.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The weekend starts off nice and comfortable. As a cold front comes through the region we will see breezy conditions and a few people will see showers and thunderstorms. Most of those showers and storms are expected to stay in the southern portion of the viewing area. A few thunderstorms could have small hail or carry gusty winds, but keep in mind most people will stay dry today. Sunday we are dry, clear, and comfortable.
