Declan Dixon, 22, from the Wigan area, was filmed hurling a missile at police lines on Wednesday 31 July. He was in the North East due to his apprenticeship - a job he has subsequently lost.

Potential British Steel nationalisation would include 2 sites in NE - Lackenby & Skinningrove. But probably not for long. Maybe no private takers for furnaces in Scunthorpe but S.Grove could be attractive to a buyer. Just seen £26m investment, takes rents from other co’s on site.

. @TimesBusiness reporting no electric arc furnace will be built on Teesside, meaning no large scale steel making on Teesside. Expectation was that one EAF would be built after closure of British Steel blast furnaces in Scunthorpe. Scheme would have created 250 jobs on Teesside.
