Trinity Pacific Christian School's mock trial team is the 2025 California high school mock trial champion. The Thousand Oaks private school beat out more than 30 teams in the state finals for the second year running to qualify for the national finals in Phoenix in early May. The state contest was held March 14-16 in Los Angeles. Trinity Pacific is only the third program in the state competition's 44-year history to win two titles in a row.

The McGrath Family Farm in Camarillo will open its gates free of charge to a limited number of visitors on March 29 as part of SEEAG's new "Farm Day Every Day" series. The nonprofit Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture has hosted the annual Ventura County Farm Day each autumn for over a decade, recruiting local ranches and farms to give tours to local community members. The Farm Day Every Day series expands the annual event to a monthly series at farms in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

Oxnard authorities were investing shootings that left three young victims wounded Tuesday night. The gunfire was reported around 7 p.m. near Southwinds Park in the 300 block of West Clara Street, said Oxnard Police Department Cmdr. Kevin Baysinger. The park is in the city's south end, generally northwest of Saviers and Hueneme roads, in the Southwinds neighborhood. The victims, all described as male, suffered wounds that don't appear to be life-threatening, Baysinger said.
