Well, a glimpse of what may be coming has been on display at the University of South Alabama (USA) since 2021. Scott Yoffe, a former public relations representative with the San Diego Chargers, reached out to Lagniappe to discuss Turf Tank. It is the world’s first-ever autonomous, GPS-guided, line-marking robot built specifically to paint athletic fields.

The Dauphin Island Race was once considered among the largest one-day, point-to-point sailboat regattas in the United States. The 14th annual Children’s Cup Regatta sets sail on Saturday to benefit patients from the Alabama Gulf Coast treated at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham. Approximately 15,585 individual student archers from 32 states gathered for the National Archery in the Schools Program’s (NASP) Eastern Nationals to compete in bull’s-eye and 3D archery competitions, resulting in one of the largest archery tournaments in history.
