The new facility represents the culmination of years of planning that gained momentum when the city secured a federal grant of $475,000 in 2022. The Public Safety Foundation and its community partners then began searching for an appropriate location and settled on the former Promise Neighborhood building.

(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department is hosting its monthly Dog Walker Watch meeting on Tuesday, June 24th. The meeting will be held at Jaycee’s Park’s dog park from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The topic of the evening will be counterfeit cash, how to detect fake bills and what to do with them. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join their humans so they can play while the people learn. It’s also aimed at bolstering police and community relations.

(KNSI) – The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park is holding a special open house next month for folks to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Minnesota’s most unique outdoor venues. On Wednesday, July 16th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., people can take photos on stage and explore how concerts are produced during the free event. Organizers say visitors can see the inner workings of live performances while taking in the beauty of the natural quarry setting.

(KNSI) – A Stearns County road project could cause headaches for drivers on a heavily traveled route in Waite Park. Beginning this Monday, a resurfacing project on County Highway 81/3rd Street North, between Highway 15 and 12th Avenue North, will lead to lane closures. The weather-dependent project will take until the middle of October to complete. Crews are redoing the road, adding concrete curb and gutter repair and replacing some storm sewers.
