The University of Wisconsin football program hopes to hear good news from a Texas edge rusher in the forthcoming days ahead. Ben Duncum, a three-star recruit who plays for Austin Lake Travis in Texas, posted Monday that he plans to announce his commitment to a program at 1 p.m. Wednesday. He's one of several key defensive recruits to watch as the dead period takes effect until the end of July.

Wisconsin currently has 13 scholarship players that have announced their commitments to coach Luke Fickell and the team for this forthcoming recruiting cycle, along with walk-on offensive lineman Aiden Dirksen (Green Bay Bay Port). Eight of those commits have declared their intentions since June 8.

Wisconsin currently has 13 scholarship players who have announced their verbal commitments to the program for the 2026 class, along with one walk-on (Green Bay Bay Port's Aiden Dirksen). Eight (seven plus Dirksen) have come since summer official visits began the weekend of May 29-June 1.

Wisconsin continues to hold 13 scholarship players who have announced their verbal commitments for this recruiting cycle. The Badgers did not reel in its second projected safety commit Sunday after Chase Geter (Ashburn Stone Ridge, Virginia) announced his commitment to Syracuse.

The University of Wisconsin football program will need to look elsewhere for another piece of the secondary for its 2026 class. Chase Geter, who plays for Ashburn Stone Ridge in Virginia, announced Sunday his commitment to Syracuse. Geter is a three-star recruit by three outlets who took an official visit to Wisconsin the weekend of June 5-8. Wisconsin projected him to play safety under position coach Jack Cooper. Geter also recently took official visits to Virginia, Duke and Syracuse.
