Located near the Pittston Housing Authority off Kennedy Boulevard, the garden aims to serve the local community and even supply local restaurants with nutritional food options. The project was a collaborative effort between the City and the Garden Goombas, who worked together to bring the vision to fruition.

Joseph Verespy, by surprise. “I was out for lunch and the guy at Agolinos said Father, there’s white smoke. I went running out to get to the nearest TV,” says Fr. Verespy. Fr. Verespy, who hurried home to witness Pope Leo XIV, the first American-born Pontiff, address the masses from the loggia.
