Semicolon, a Black-owned bookstore in West Town, is reopening its doors with new surprises for customers. It was more than just a re-grand opening of Semicolon Bookstore, it was celebration of how far Black-owned businesses have come and curated spaces where creativity meets collaboration. Semicolon was reimagined, revamped and ready to open.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for minors. The law bars gender transition surgery, puberty blockers and hormone therapy for people under 18. Local leaders in the LGBTQ community are raising concerns about the impact of the decision. The ruling marks the first time the Supreme Court justices have weighed in on an anti-transgender state law. And those against the ruling say the law will impact those beyond the transgender community.

It was an intimate but invaluable gathering at the SGT Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran's Center, 8620 South Pulaski, to celebrate female veterans, who say they've been overlooked for too long.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- People in Chicago are reacting to President Donald Trump's new travel ban affecting 12 countries. There are restrictions on other countries, too. President Trump has said this is about safety. The ban took effect overnight, and is already causing confusion and issues for some people. The countries listed on the ban have populations that are predominantly people of color. Some at O'Hare Monday morning have families abroad.
