A global manufacturing company has received approval for a tax abatement if they chose to build in the City of Warren. The Kimberly Clark Corporation will receive a 60 percent tax abatement exclusive to the manufacturer if they go through with a project on Pine Avenue. The Trumbull County Commissioners unanimously approved the tax reduction at their Wednesday meeting.

NewsAny police, fire, EMS, or dispatcher in the Mahoning Valley will be able to access the center. Boardman Police Chief Todd Werth has announced that a wellness center is being created to assist first responders with mental and physical health challenges brought on by their jobs. The 4-acre property on Raupp Avenue in Boardman Township was donated by the Clarence R. Smith Family after living in the home for years. Chief Werth said Smith was a longtime supporter for first responders.

A Salem man will spend time in prison for charges related to sexual conduct with a child. Brandon Seddon will spend 12 to 16 years in prison for one count of sexual battery and two counts of gross sexual imposition. Prosecutors said a victim came forward saying Seddon touched her inappropriately years before. The girl was under the age of 10 when the crimes happened on multiple occasions, even out of state.

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) and its partners will broke ground Thursday on three new duplexes in Youngstown that will feature on-site solar power generation. The ceremony took place at 3013, 3021, and 3031 Glenwood Avenue, the locations of the new buildings. Each duplex will contain two two-bedroom, two-bath apartment units with covered parking.
