One of the 18 people who lost their lives in the Lewiston mass shooting was Peyton Brewer-Ross. The 40-year-old was born in Farmington, graduated from Westbrook High School and worked at Bath Iron Works. "Some days it seems to pass slowly, and some days go by quickly. The reason, according to the E.P.A., was that it was too ambitious for Maine consumers and the current EV infrastructure. Republicans are happy about the decision.

We contacted all of Maine's county jails and asked about job vacancies. The York County jail is reporting 24 vacancies, Penobscot says it has 5-10 openings, Somerset and Androscoggin both have six, Kennebec has one, Waldo and Oxford have none, but Cumberland County is short 80 correctional officers.
