Moshier was one of 54 people honored June 18 at Corning Inc.'s annual Service Awards Luncheon, an event dedicated to recognizing retirees who began their careers with the company 50 and 75 years ago. “I have great pride, in part because I’m a native of Corning, and the company has always supported me,” said Moshier, who worked at Corning Inc. from 1975 to 2015.

    Corning-Painted Post School District voters approved a $144.2 million budget for 2025-26 after rejecting a previous proposal. The approved budget includes a decrease in the tax rate from $20.32 to $19.93 per $1,000 of assessed value. An $1.8 million grant from Corning Inc. helped reduce the budget and gain voter support.     Ryan M. Newman, a registered sex offender from Corning, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for producing child pornography. Newman, previously convicted on child pornography charges in 2012, was found to have uploaded child pornography to Snapchat and possessed additional illicit material on his devices.
