CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - It could get active at times today and tonight with thunderstorms that could go severe and contain very heavy rain. Instability is highest this afternoon and evening. Low pressure this morning over Missouri will track into Michigan this evening. The cold front with this system will move through northeast Ohio tomorrow morning. We have a tropical air mass in place today and tonight. Scattered showers and storms in the forecast today.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A cold front is forecast to track through the area Thursday morning. Thunderstorms in advance of it Wednesday evening could turn severe and contain very heavy rain. The team is monitoring this closely. A humid air mass is in place today. It’ll be mostly cloudy with scattered slow moving showers and storms. There is the risk of heavy rain with any of these showers and storms. High temperatures around the 80 degree mark. Humid tonight with isolated showers and storms.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A front in southern Ohio will slowly lift north today and tonight as a warm front. This will be one trigger for rain and storms. A humid pattern is setting up this week. Any shower or storms could contain very heavy rain in the coming days. More clouds than sun today. We will start to include a risk of showers and storms during the afternoon. The better risk will be south of Cleveland. High temperatures in the middle to upper 70s.

Things are moving slow so locally heavy rain is possible. A lake breeze will keep things cooler near Lake Erie. A cloudy sky in the forecast today. Our current forecast is for scattered showers and storms late this afternoon. High temperatures 70 to 80 degrees. There is a high potential of rain and embedded thunder tonight.

The cooler readings near Lake Erie with a lake breeze. More clouds roll in this evening. It’ll be a mostly cloudy night ahead.
