ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — A Rock Island man has been arrested in connection to the death of a 19-year-old woman who was found in a motel room. Officers were called to the American Motor Inn, located at 4300 11th St., around 11:11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, for a welfare check. When they arrived, they discovered the woman deceased inside one of the rooms. Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafston identified the woman as 19-year-old Alexis Roelandt of Davenport.

Officers were called to the American Motor Inn, located at 4300 11th St., around 11:11 a.m. on Saturday for a welfare check. When they arrived, they discovered the woman deceased inside one of the rooms. Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafston identified the woman as 19-year-old Alexis Roelandt of Davenport. An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday.

Her identity has not been released, pending notification of family. An autopsy has been scheduled as investigators work to determine the cause of death.
