    A death investigation is underway after an 83-year-old man was found injured on the city's South Side Saturday morning. It happened just before 8:30 a.m. in the 200 block of West 70th Street in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Chicago police said officers responded to a call at the location and found the man near the sidewalk with injuries to the head and face area. The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

    Two men are facing multiple charges in the shooting that left two other men hurt in a Humboldt Park alley on Wednesday. Dalvin Mullen, 27, was charged with felony counts of aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm, possessing a firearm as a repeat felony offender, aggravated fleeing, possessing any substance with intent, possessing a stolen vehicle, and aggravated fleeing from police over 21 miles per hour.

    A man was charged in the multivehicle crash that left a high school baseball team injured in La Porte County, Indiana, on Thursday afternoon. The La Porte Sheriff's Office announced that Shawn Wesly Russell Akison, 41, of Romeoville, was charged with criminal recklessness in the four-vehicle crash at US 20 and Fail Road. A preliminary investigation determined that the St. Joseph County Police Department received a report of a box truck traveling recklessly westbound on SR 2.

    For the second time this week, a scratch-off ticket worth millions was sold in Illinois, this time in Rockford. The player is the first to win the top prize of $10 million after purchasing the $10,000,000 Bankroll scratch-off game at the Stop N Shop store at 2501 North Huffman Boulevard.  The game launched in November with three $10 million top prizes and 15 $1 million prizes.     Thieves burglarize North Side Ulta Beauty store Chicago police are investigating an overnight smash-and-grab burglary at an Ulta Beauty store on the city's North Side. It happened just before 4 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Clark Street in the Lakeview neighborhood. According to Chicago police, two people broke in by smashing the front window, leaving broken glass on the ground. The burglars were said to be wearing gloves and masks and took perfumes and colognes.
