Gay comedy writer Guy Branum has had a long and fruitful career that continues to grow, He has taken home trophies from the Emmy and Golden Globe awards over the years, and his television credits include Hacks, The Mindy Project, The Other Two and A League of Their Own. Guy created and hosted truTV's Talk Show the Game Show and is often a guest on podcasts. He played Henry in the 2022 film Bros and also co-produced the project.

The Chicago Critics Film Festival was founded in 1990 and now, 35 years later, seems to be thriving more than ever with over 20 feature films and two short film programs. Ticket sales were on fire from May 2-8, thanks to dynamic performances in relatable films. Taking a cue from many of the films screened earlier in the year at the Sundance Film Festival and the South By Southwest Film Festival, the programmers at CCFF booked several outstanding films over the course of eight days.

At the Wake of a Dead Drag Queen has something for "every man, every woman and everything in between." Central character Courtney Berringers shares those words in a different context in the play, but she may as well be speaking of the diverse audience this production speaks to. The play is set in 2004, but the LGBTQ+ community is unfortunately still facing some of the same obstacles it addresses today.

His work, beginning with Shivers and Rapid in the '70s, often explores body horror, frequently exploring how technology affects humankind physically, emotionally and intellectualy. Some of his cult classics include Scanners, Videodrome and his remake of The Fly.
