For Galway street photographer Ciaran MacChoncarraige, weather is never an obstacle for capturing the city’s unique character. The 28-year-old has spent the past eight years with his camera poised on the city where he was born and raised, capturing candid moments that reflect his own view of the place he has known his whole life.

The proposal would see the construction of a new nursing home comprising of 131 bedrooms over four storeys with 133 bed spaces in Salthill. If given the green light, the development would be built on a greenfield site along the Upper Salthill road. Plans were put forward by Paul McGrath back in April and will face a decision from Galway City Council next Tuesday, June 10.
