So, Davis decided to organize a community resource fair featuring representatives of various non-profits with information about their programs and services.

HARPURSVILLE, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – In recognition of National Dairy Month, our Food and Farm Showcase is visiting a third generation farm in Harpursville that is now selling some products direct to the consumer. Winsor Acres, located along Route 79, has roughly 3 thousand Holstein cows, about 2 thousand of which are currently being milked. The farm was started by Ralph Winsor in 1958 with just 50 cows and has grown considerably since then.

TOWN OF DICKINSON (WIVT/WBGH) – We’re back In The Kitchen with CCE tonight with a bright and tasty snack or meal that features a vegetable that’s less than 50 years old. Nutrition Educator Caitlin Mizerak is preparing Snap Pea Burrata Toast. Mizerak chops the sweet and crunchy snap peas and combines them with mint, hot honey, olive oil, lemon zest and salt. She then spreads the burrata cheese on the toast.

OWEGO, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – Owego is preparing to celebrate its favorite fruit with a festival that will dominate downtown this weekend. It is now a 3 day event, beginning tonight at the band shell at Hickories Park with a 5-K, a Kids Fun Run and music by deejay Bob Russell. Tomorrow is the Friday night block party with live bands from 5 to 9:30, culminating in the annual fireworks display. And Saturday begins with a parade at 9:30 a.m. with a total of 64 different entrants.
