FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – A West Fargo man has been charged with felony reckless endangerment, fleeing and other charges after he was arrested by the North Dakota Highway Patrol Friday night in Fargo during a special traffic law enforcement crackdown. Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says the driving behavior of 22-year-old Mario Rodriquez was extremely dangerous. Rodriquez was released from the Cass County jail after posting bail.

Some of the worst-quality air in the nation was centered over the Fargo-Moorhead area FARGO (KVRR) – Dense smoke from wildfires in Canada continued to blanket much of North Dakota and Minnesota Monday. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, some of the worst-quality air in the nation was centered over the Fargo-Moorhead area. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an air quality alert for the entire state until Wednesday.

Crash overturns vehicle in south Moorhead Moorhead crash 5/30/2025MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Traffic was heavily backed up along 8th Street in south Moorhead Friday afternoon following a crash involving a vehicle that ended up on its top. The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. near the bridge over Interstate 94. It was not immediately known if anyone was seriously injured. The cause of the crash will be investigated.

SISSETON, S.D. (KVRR-KWAT) – The Roberts County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a high speed pursuit Thursday, but the person they were chasing got away. The chase began when a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle on South Dakota Highway 10 east of Sisseton near the Minnesota border. The motorcycle fled at speeds well over 100 miles an hour. A short time later, the motorcycle passed a second deputy, who used radar to confirm a speed of 152 miles an hour.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Dept. of Health and Human Services says a case of measles has been confirmed in Burke County, making it the fourth county in the state impacted by the disease. The number of measles cases in the state have increased to 28 since May 2. The affected person traveled frequently to Williams County before the illness. Early vaccination is not recommended in Burke, Cass or Grand Forks counties. Investigations show no evidence of community spread in those areas.
