The senior, juvenile, ladies football and camogie clubs would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Claire, Joe and Eoghan Shelly and the extended Hassett and Guilfoyles families on the very sad passing of Aoife Shelly yesterday. Aoife was a very valued member of the Moyne Templetuohy ladies football club and played a big part in winning the Junior A. Co. Final last year.

Thousands of music fans descended on Grant Park Thursday for the first day of Chicago’s biggest music festival, Lollapalooza. Festival organizers billed this year’s iteration of the four-day festival as the 20th anniversary, pointing to its Grant Park debut in 2005 — although it opted for a virtual version during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
