    BENNINGTON – Adam Carmichael was named by the Mount Anthony Union School District Board to replace outgoing high school Principal Timothy Payne. The board unanimously approved a recommendation to hire Carmichael, a math teacher at the high school, pending finalization of an employment contract. On July 1, Payne, the Mount Anthony Union High School principal for the past seven years, will replace longtime Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union Superintendent Jim Culkeen, who is retiring.
