CHICAGO - A 75-year-old man was hit and killed by a car Tuesday night on the city’s South Side and the suspected driver is in custody. The crash happened around 9:23 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Western Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department. What we know: Police said a silver SUV driven by a 29-year-old woman was traveling northbound on Western Avenue and hit the man in the street.

Crosetti Brand is accused of stabbing Perkins to death on March 13, 2024, after he allegedly broke into the family’s Edgewater home and attacked the boy’s mother. CHICAGO - A person fell onto the CTA tracks in the Loop and died early Tuesday morning, causing delays for commuters. The incident happened in the 100 block of West Lake Street around 2 a.m., according to the Chicago Police Department. What we know: Officers responded to the scene where an unidentified male victim fell onto the CTA tracks. He died at the scene. Area detectives are investigating the incident.
