    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Dr. Marie Feagins, the former superintendent who was ousted earlier this year, is fighting to get the school board’s firing decision voided. According to court documents, Feagins filed a motion on June 23, seeking an injunction that would overturn the board’s dismissal. The Memphis-Shelby County School Board voted to terminate Feagins’ contract with the school district on January 21, effectively removing her as the district’s top educator.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -The Memphis Police Department is investigating after a victim was shot 5 times by his cousin. At 2:57 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on Townes Avenue near Dayton Street. When officers arrived, they discovered that a man had been shot several times, approximately five times. According to MPD, the victim was accompanied by a witness who informed them that the shooter was the victim’s cousin.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a break-in that involved a vehicle crashing into a building. According to MPD, officers responded to a break-in call at the BP gas station on Poplar Avenue near North Cleveland Street. When Action News 5 arrived on the scene, the wall of the BP gas station building had been crashed into with debris left behind. No word yet on whether anyone was injured.
