Lisa (Garza-Weichman) Harries, is taking over as board chairwoman of Planned Parenthood of Illinois as of July 1. Harries has served on the board of Planned Parenthood since 2022, most recently as vice chair and chair of the strategy committee, PPIL said in a press release. She is also the assistant vice president of health equity and policy at the Illinois Health & Hospital Association. Harries is both Mexican-American and Jewish, a granddaughter of Holocaust survivors.
